Happy Birthday, Austyn!
You once wrote, "There is a thing called life..."
... you would be 13 today, but for the life of me I cannot imagine you as a teenager. You are forever 8 years old in my heart.
"...It is very quiet and peaceful and nice", you wrote
... life has been so different since you left. But not "bad" different, like I thought it would be at first. Just different.
"...For we can never see it, but it is always in site", you wrote
...you taught me to see with so much more than just my eyes. People are geniunely good at heart. You believed that and taught me to believe that.
You also said "It may not make too much sense to you, but to me it really does..."
Life rarely makes sense to adults, but then again, maybe it isn't supposed to. That's why we have children to remind us to see the world through different eyes.
"To see such a wonderful thing in such a wonderful spot of life"
Life is good. I've quit thinking in terms of what should have been and somewhere along the last four years began thinking in terms of what is, and that is that I had eight wonderful years with a true angel!
Happy birthday, Angel-Pie! I love you!
